Day 1 Arrival in Nanjing, Nanjing Airport or Train Station Pick-up
Meet your guide at Nanjing airport or train stations and transfer to your hotel in a comfortable private vehicle. After getting settled at the hotel, you may explore Nanjing on your own. Situated in the Yangtze River Delta region, Nanjing has a prominent place in Chinese history and culture, having served as the capital of various Chinese dynasties, kingdoms and republican governments dating from the 3rd century to 1949. Nanjing is recognized as one of the Four Great Ancient Capitals of China.

Day 2 Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum, Meiling Palace, Xiaoling Tomb, Linggu Temple, Confucian Temple Area
Morning visit to Sun Yat-sen's Mausoleum. Sun Yat-sen is known as the father of modern China and influential in overthrowing the Qing dynasty in 1911. With deep historical significance, magnificent architecture, and beautiful scenery, Sun Yat-sen's Mausoleum is a must see when visiting Nanjing. Next, visit Meiling Palace, once considered the No. 1 Mansion in the Far East. Meiling Palace was built in 1934 as a birthday gift by Chiang Kai-shek (President of China) for his wife Soong Mayling who was named by Life magazine in 1937 as 'the most powerful woman in the world'). This beautiful villa combines classical Chinese architecture with modern western elements. Then, stroll along the tree-lined 618 meter long Sacred Way, lined with stone statues of lions, camels, elephants and horses that drive away evil spirits and guard the Xiaoling Tomb of Ming Dynasty where the founding emperor of the Ming dynasty was buried. Continue with a visit to Linggu Temple, described as 'the best Buddhist temple in the world'. Afterwards, wander around the Confucian Temple Area to enjoy an impressive view of the beautiful Qinhuai River.

Day 3 Presidential Palace, Chaotian Gong of Nanjing, Zhonghua Gate, Bullet Train to Suzhou
Visit the Presidential Palace in the morning. Presidential Palace is one of the largest surviving complex of modern Chinese (1840-1949) buildings. The site was used for provincial government buildings during the Qing Dynasty, the Celestial Palace during Taiping Rebellion period, the Office of the President of the Republic of China before the republic relocated to Taiwan in 1949. Walk the same corridors of power that were trodden by Chinese political luminaries such as Sun Yat-Sen and Chiang Kai Shek, look into the same meeting rooms where they held fort all those years ago, and enjoy gardens and ponds within the walls of the compound. Continue with a visit to Chaotian Gong, once an imperial palace in the Ming dynasty, and today the Nanjing Municipal Museum. Then, visit Zhonghua Gate, one of the best preserved and most intricate barbicans in the world. Zhonghua Gate is part of the 35 kilometer City Wall of Nanjing built between 1366 and 1386. Take bullet train to Suzhou (approximately 70 minutes) late in the afternoon.

Day 4 Humble Administrator's Garden, Suzhou Museum, Panmen Gate, Tiger Hill, Shantang Street
Visit the UNSCO World Heritage Site of Humble Administrator's Garden in the morning. The Humble Administrator's Garden is the largest garden in Suzhou and considered to be the finest garden in all of southern China. Next, visit Suzhou Museum said to be the last design of the Chinese-American architect Mr. Ieoh Ming Pei in his career. As a native of Suzhou, Mr. Ieoh Ming Pei combines traditional Suzhou architectural style and places the museum between the courtyards to harmonize the building with its surrounding environment. Continue with a visit to Panmen Gate which is the original entrance to the city of Suzhou and is said to boast a history spanning 2,400 years. Then, admire Tiger Hill, the oldest pagoda in Suzhou (2,500 years old) nichnamed the Leaning Tower of China. Afterwards, stroll along the 1200 year old Shantang Street with old residences and shops selling snacks and handcrafts, like wood engravings and embroideries. Watch wooden boats floating under small arched bridges, which add even more charm to this nostalgic part of town dating back to the Tang Dynasty.
