Visit Qingtongxia Yellow River Canyon
Qingtongxia Yellow River Canyon is more than 10 kilometers long, 50-100 meters wide and the cliffs on both sides are 30 meters high, with typical wild characteristics of Yellow River, known as the “No. 1 Canyon of the Middle and Upstream of Yellow River. The Yellow River makes a 90° turn as it traverses the Qingtongxia area, incising the hard Ordovician sandstones of Niushou Mountain, while leaving the relatively soft Quaternary sediments on the northern side of the channel undisturbed. Take 1 hour boat ride to experience the amazing views of the Yellow River and Mountain.

Visit the 108 Stupas
The One Hundred and Eight Stupas is an array of one hundred and eight Buddhist stupas (also called dagobas) on a hillside on the west bank of the Yellow River. They are believed to have been originally constructed during the period of the Western Xia kingdom (1038–1227), as part of a Buddhist temple complex, and have been renovated and rebuilt several times over the centuries. The stupas were made of sun-dried mud bricks surrounding a central wooden supporting pillar. The mud core was coated in white plaster, with lotus flower designs or Sanskrit text painted in red around the base. Later the stupa bases were strengthened, and additional mud was applied to reinforce the stupa body.
