Huangyaguan (Yellow Cliff Pass) Great Wall lies on a steep and abrupt mountain ridge, approximately 123 km (78 miles) north of urban Tianjin city. Huangyaguan was originally built over 1400 years ago in the Northern Qi Dynasty and reinforced with brick walls in the Ming Dynasty. In 1984, major repair work has been performed on over 3 kilometres of the wall including on 20 water towers and 1 water pass. Within the pass, more than 40 crisscrossing streets form the shape of the Eight Diagram, which gives the pass a nickname, Eight Diagram Fortification City. In the center of the Eight Diagram Street block is the Huangyaguan Great Wall Museum, which used to be the Dispatcher's Office in the Ming Dynasty.

Visit Eastern Royal Tombs of the Qing Dynasty
Eastern Royal Tombs of the Qing Dynasty are the largest, most complete, and best preserved extant mausoleum complex in China. Altogether, five emperors (Shunzhi, Kangxi, Qianlong, Xianfeng, and Tongzhi), 15 empresses, 136 imperial concubines, three princes, and two princesses of the Qing dynasty are buried here. Surrounded by mountains, the tomb complex stretches over a total area of 80 square kilometres (31 sq mi). At the center of the Eastern Qing tombs lies Xiaoling, the tomb of the Shunzhi Emperor (1638–1661), who became the first Qing emperor to rule over China. Shunzhi was also the first emperor to be buried in the area. Jingling is the tomb of the Kangxi Emperor. Yuling, the tomb of the Qianlong Emperor (the fourth emperor of the Qing dynasty), is one of the most splendid one of all royal tombs in Chinese history. Ding Dongling, the tomb of Empress Dowager Cixi stands out for its extremely luxurious decoration. Eastern Royal Tombs of the Qing Dynasty are listed by UNESCO as world heritage site.
