Here, visitors can wander through the streets bordered by traditional buildings adorned with detailed wood carvings and lively murals, experiencing the dynamic atmosphere of bustling markets, serene temples, and bustling community squares where locals gather.

Gongchen Tower

Situated in the northern part of the city, Gongcheng Tower stands as a preserved historical landmark. Originally constructed in 1390, the tower we see today is a slightly smaller reconstruction based on its 17th-century counterpart. Supported by 28 columns, it rises to a height of 16 meters (52 ft), forming a rectangular structure measuring 25 meters (82 ft) in length and 15.7 meters (51.5 ft) in width and depth. Serving as the focal point of the city, the tower divides the area into pedestrian streets to the north and south, adding to its significance as a central hub of activity and historical importance.

Xinggong Tower

The Xinggong Tower, also known as Wenbi Tower, rises proudly to a height of 11 meters (36 ft) with a sturdy wooden structure supported by an 18.7-meter-wide (61 ft) brick and stone foundation. This epitome of traditional Chinese architecture features double eaves and a hipped roof, exuding grandeur and meticulous craftsmanship. Measuring 9.75 meters (32 ft) in both width and depth, the tower boasts elegant corridors on the ground floor and seven-stepped arches on each upper level. Its roof eaves, adorned with intricately crafted decorative ridges, add to its timeless allure, making it a symbol of cultural heritage and architectural excellence.
