What to Expect at Manfeilong Pagodas
The Manfeilong Pagoda is an architectural marvel, its brick-and-stone structure a harmonious blend of size and intricate detail. A robust base platform, festooned with tiers of dainty lotus petal motifs symbolizing purity, cradles the lofty, gourd-shaped central pagoda—an awe-inspiring structure that commands the landscape with its 42.6-meter (140 ft) height.

Adorning this central gem are eight smaller pagodas, meticulously positioned and arranged in a perfect octagon. Each of these pagodas rises to an impressive 9.1 meters (30 ft) in height and boasts outward-protruding alcoves sheltered beneath gracefully arched roofs. Within these niches, vivid Buddhist murals weave tales of faith and enlightenment. Reliefs of Buddha statues also exude an aura of serenity and peace. Above each alcove, sculpted clay phoenixes appear suspended in mid-flight. Their wings are outstretched, as if poised to take wing towards the celestial realms.

The whole ensemble paints a captivating spiritual landscape, urging visitors to soak in its beauty and tranquility. It’s a place where one can truly find peace and let their worries drift away.
