What to expect at Butterfly Spring

Butterfly Spring is especially celebrated for its unique natural beauty and colorful ethnic cultures. Having climbed to the viewing pavilion situated in the South Heavenly Gate, tourists can have a panoramic view of the 10-mile long picturesque gallery of Yangshuo’s most beautiful sights. Pastoral sights of bridges, flowing waters, faraway hills and graceful peaks paint the place into a picture of earthly heaven.

Tourists can enjoy ethnic singing and dancing best represented by the Song of Dong People in Butterfly Spring, which falls on the list of World Intangible Cultural Heritage and Fanpai Wooden Drum Dance of Miao People, a National Intangible Cultural Heritage. In May 2013, the beauty of Butterfly Spring and the culture of Dong and Miao peoples were documented in CCTV 7 channel’s program Countryside and were appreciated by tourists both at home and abroad.

How to get to Butterfly Spring
• Take bus 602 Branch Line to Shili Hualang and then catch an battery car to the park.
• Take a bus from Yangshuo General Bus Station to to Gaotian and get off at the park.
• Rent a bike from Yangshuo county to reach there within 20mins.
• Rent a car/bus from GGC to enjoy a hassle free private transfer from hotels in Yangshuo to Butterfly Spring.
