Xiguan Mosque is a time-honored mosque located in Lanzhou city. Xiguan Mosque covers an area of 467 square meters. Originally built in the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), the mosque has graced Lanzhou with its presence, serving as a cornerstone of the Muslim community. Xiguan Mosque captivates with its diverse architectural ensemble, encompassing a gate, prayer hall, Bunker building, pavilions, lecture halls, and more. Its exterior, adorned with traditional Chinese forms and motifs, embodies a uniquely exquisite design that distinguishes it within the landscape of Chinese mosque architecture.

Preyer Hall
At the heart of the Xiguan Mosque is its remarkable prayer hall, occupying 141 square meters on the ground floor. The hall’s circular design symbolizes the unity of Muslims from diverse backgrounds. Enhancing this sense of unity are 20 soaring arches, each reaching a height of 17 meters (55 feet), gracefully enclosing the space. The prayer hall extends upward for four stories, culminating in an impressive total height of 37 meters (121 feet). Each floor is meticulously designed with a generous ceiling height of 3.9 meters (12.7 feet), contributing to the hall’s grandeur and openness.
