What to expect at Wuzhen Water Town

Nestled amidst the serene beauty of Wuzhen Water Town, the quaint streets are adorned with houses crafted from black bricks and gray tiles, their stark contrast against the white walls resembling a traditional Chinese ink wash painting. Stone bridges gracefully span the crisscrossing rivers, while small boats with black awnings gently glide along the murmuring waters, adding to the town’s picturesque charm. Whether meandering along the riverside or sauntering through the blue flagstone lanes, visitors are captivated by the tranquil scenery and unhurried pace of life.

The town is divided into four distinct scenic sections by the winding river, known locally as Dongzha (East area), Xizha (West area), Nanzha (South area) and Beizha (North area).
