Huqing Yutang Chinese Medicine Museum is the only state-level Chinese medicine museum in Hangzhou. Huqing Yutang Chinese Medicine Museum is established in 1991. Situated within the renovated architectural complex Huqing Yutang Pharmacy with an area of 2,700 square meters, the museum is also known as the Huqing Yutang Museum of Traditional Chinese Medicine, signifying its pivotal role in preserving and promoting the rich heritage of Chinese medicine.

The architectural design of the Huqing Yutang Chinese Medicine Museum reflects the traditional garden styles of southern China. It comprises a front section housing a pharmacy store and backyard workshops for medicine production. The museum is organized into five main sections: the Introductory Hall, Chinese Medicine Workshops Hall, Health Care & Treatment Hall, Chinese Herbal Cuisine Hall, and Service Hall. Inside, visitors can explore numerous traditional pharmaceutical tools and observe tens of thousands of plant, animal, and mineral samples used in traditional Chinese medicine. Moreover, skilled pharmaceutical workers are on hand to showcase various techniques such as hand-pelleting drugs and finely slicing medical materials. Visitors can also engage with these workers to learn firsthand about the remarkable traditional processing skills.
