Know Before You Go

Day 1 Arrival in Hangzhou, Hangzhou Airport or Train Station Pickup
Meet your guide at Hangzhou airport or train stations and transfer to your hotel in a comfortable private vehicle. After getting settled at the hotel, you may explore Hangzhou on your own. Admired by Marco Polo as “the finest and most splendid city in the world", Hangzhou grew to prominence as the southern terminus of the Grand Canal and has been one of the most renowned and prosperous cities in China for much of the last millennium.

Day 2 Cruise on West Lake, Six Harmonies Pagoda, Lingyin Temple, Qinghefang Ancient Street, Bullet Train to Shanghai
Hangzhou is held on three sides in the embrace of West Lake. Its vistas, leisure activities on its waters, lakeside teahouses, landscaped gardens and tree-shaded walks on the banks of West Lake combine to give Hangzhou its reputation as one of the most attractive spots in China. Enjoy a boat ride across the West Lake. Next, visit the Six Harmonies Pagoda for a beautiful view of Hangzhou with buildings and bridges lining the landscape on one side with the Qiantang River, and green verdant trees lining the other side of the pagoda. Then, wander the calming grounds of Lingyin Buddhist Temple. Originally built in AD 326, Lingyin Temple contains numerous pagodas and Buddhist grottoes. Continue with a walk on Qinghefang Ancient Street, one of the oldest streets and is the only well persevered antique historic street in Hangzhou.Take bullet train to Shanghai (approximately 1 hour) late in the afternoon.

Day 3 People's Square, Shanghai Museum, Oriental Pearl TV Tower, the Bund, Nanjing Road, the French Concession & Tianzifang
Morning visit to the People's Square and Shanghai Museum. The People’s Square was once the finest racecourse in Asia before 1949; it is now a large open space in which locals hang out all day, every day, practicing Tai Chi and flying kites. Shanghai Museum is specially celebrated in the world for its rich and high-quality collection of 120,000 precious works of art including ancient Chinese bronze, ceramics, painting and calligraphy. Later, get to the second sphere of the Oriental Pearl TV Tower at a height of 263 meters to enjoy a bird's-eye view of Shanghai. Stroll along the Bund and nearby Nanjing Road. The Bund refers to Shanghai's famous waterfront stretching for 1.6km along the west shore of the Huangpu River. Nanjing Road is the main shopping street of Shanghai and one of the busiest shopping streets in the world. Afterwards, explore the tree-lined avenues of the French Concession where many fine old houses in the area still retain an air of the "Paris of the East". Explore the arts and crafts enclave in the trendy area of Tianzifang that has constructed from a refurbished domestic location in the French Concession area of Shanghai.
