Visit Tiger Leaping Gorge
Tiger Leaping Gorge is a scenic canyon on the Jinsha River, the Chinese name of the upper Yangtze River. It’s part of the Three Parallel Rivers of Yunnan Protected Areas and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Legend says the name comes from a hunted tiger escaping by jumping across the river at the narrowest point (still 25 metres (82 ft) wide), using the rock in the middle. Around 15 kilometres (9.3 mi) in length, the gorge is located where the river passes between the 5,596 metres (18,360 ft) Jade Dragon Snow Mountain and the 5,396 metres (17,703 ft) Haba Snow Mountain in a series of rapids under steep 2,000 metres (6,600 ft) cliffs. At a maximum depth of approximately 3,790 meters (12,434 feet) from river to mountain peak, Tiger Leaping Gorge is one of the deepest and most spectacular river canyons in the world.

Haba Snow Mountain rises opposite the higher Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, and towers 3,500 metres above the upper reaches of the Yangtze River, also known as the Jinsha River. The summit of the mountain (5396m)  is one of the tallest peaks in Yunnan province and a popular destination for amateur mountaineers. "Haba" means golden flower in Naxi language. Legend has it that Haba Snow Mountain and  Jade Dragon Snow Mountain are brothers with Jinsha River flowing between them to form Tiger Leaping Gorge.

Visit White Water Terraces
White Water Terraces are one of the biggest limestone terraces in China. The main landscape feature is a calcium-based mineral deposit 140m long and up to 160m wide, located on the flanks of Haba Snow Mountain. It is composed by the sediments of high Calcium Carbonate in the spring waters. Spring waters flows downwards from the mountain to every semicircular-shaped limestone steps. Year after year, it results the natural terraces look as the white marbles. The main attraction in the area is a large, white mineral deposit in the form of terraced pools, formed by calcium-rich water emanating from springs at the top of the formation. The terraces are associated with the founder of the local Dongba religion, and are credited with teaching the local Naxi minority people how to adapt the region's hillsides for agriculture. As such they are an important local pilgrimage site, and there are several shrines in and around the terraces. This place is considered to to the birthplace of the Dongba culture for the Naxi minority people.
