Visit Nanshan Temple
Nanshan Temple was built in a beautiful setting on the seacoast in April 1998 to mark the 2000th anniversary of the arrival of Buddhism to China, and has become known as the Temple between the sky and sea. Nanshan, which means Southern Mountain, is part of the Buddhism Culture Park-- one of the three parks that make up the Nanshan Culture Tourism Zone. The other two parks are the Blessing and Longevity Park and Hainan Custom Culture Park. The Nanshan Temple is China's southernmost Buddhist shrine. It is famous for housing a massive gold statue of Buddha and a statue of Avalokitesvara Guanyin, over 300 feet high, built upon the sea.

Visit Tianya Haijiao
Tianya Haijiao literally means Edges of Heaven, Corners of Sea. It is the southern-most tip of China. The highlights of this scenic spot are the seashore scenery and rocks that come in different shapes. Tianya (edges of heaven) and Haijiao (corners of sea) are two big rocks that have large Chinese inscriptions on them. It is a symbol of love for many people, making it a popular attraction among couples. In addition to these two stones, other famous stone carvings include Southern Heaven Rock and “Rocks of Sun and Moon,” which represent wealth and love respectively. Here, beaches, majestic cliffs, turquoise water, green hills and blue sky come together in perfect harmony.
