Know Before You Go
• Keep your passport with you throughout the tour; it may be needed to buy entrance tickets.

Hotel Pickup, Transfer to Qingyan Ancient Town
Your private guide will be holding GoGrandChina pickup sign and waiting for you in your hotel lobby (or other appointed meeting place) at the appointed time. You will be transferred to Qingyan Ancient Town (approximately 55 km) in a comfortable private vehicle.
Visit Qingyan Ancient Town
Qingyan Ancient Town was built in 1378 during the Ming dynasty, and is one of the best-known ancient towns in Guizhou. It covers a 3–square-kilometer area, and still has a Ming and Qing dynasty style, with some architectural characteristics. The town has more than 30 temples and clan halls, eight shrines, five garrets, three caves, one palace, and one yard, with lovely carved beams, rafters, and pillars. It is a place where eastern and western cultures, Confucianism, Taoism, Buddhism, Christianity, and Catholicism meet. In addition to the many temples in the town, there is a Christian church and a Roman Catholic church. Qingyan Fortress was built in 1378, so it has a more than 600-year history and experienced times of refurbishment and expansion. The fortress was originally made of earth, with walls and alleys of stone added over the years.

Visit Huaxi Park
Huaxi Park is located in the north of downtown Guiyang's Huaxi district. It is one of the only urban Wetlands in the country. On the environmental aspect, it belongs to a subtropical humid climate of the plateau kanst hilly region, based on Karst landform characteristics of the urban wetland park, its unique geographical location and geological structure form a rich variety of landscapes resources. Huaxi Park is an excellent escape from the heat and bustle of the city. The park with its streams, pavilions and tea gardens is popular for Guiyang residents who enjoy setting up their own barbeques and enjoying a picnic. Of historical note, former Premier Zhou Enlai and his wife visited Huaxi Park in the 1950s. A billboard sized photograph of the couple enjoying a boat ride graces the main entrance to the park.
Visit Jiaxiu Pavilion
Jiaxiu Pavilion was built in 1597, during the Ming Dynasty, and is connected to the banks on both sides of the river by the Fuyu Bridge. Jiaxiu Pavilion is 20 meters high and has upturned eaves supported by 12 stone columns, protected by white carved stone rails. Many authors wrote poems on Jiaxiu Pavilion, one of the most popular of which is the 206-character couplet by Liu Yushan, of the Qing Dynasty. Liu's couplet describes the geography and other features of Guiyang, a mountain city.
