Visit Mount Taishan
Mount Taishan is the most famous sacred mountain of China, with exceptional historic, cultural, aesthetic and scientific value. The mountain has been worshipped continuously throughout the last three millennia. A large and impressive rock mass covering 25,000 ha and rising to 1,545 m above the surrounding plateau, Mount Taishan is considered one of the most beautiful scenic spots in China and was an important cradle of oriental East Asian culture since the earliest times. The mountain was an important object of the cult worship of mountains even before 219 BCE, when Emperor Qin Shihuang paid tribute to the mountain in the Fengshan sacrifices to inform the gods of his success in unifying all of China. On the mountain there are 12 historically recorded imperial ceremonies in homage to Heaven and Earth, about 1,800 stone tablets and inscriptions, and 22 temples, which together make Mount Taishan the most important monument in China, a world-renowned treasure house of history and culture. Upon arrival, take the cable car to the South Heaven Gate. Then hike to the summit of Mount Taishan, Jade Emperor Peak. Walk to Jade Emperor Temple, built to honor the Jade Emperor of Taoism. Explore the Bixia Temple, built at the year of 1008 during the Song Dynasty. Afterwards, walk back to the foot the mount and then take a 20 minutes' drive to the Daimiao Temple.

Visit Daimiao Temple
Daimiao Temple literally means the Temple of the God of Mount Tai. It is the largest and most complete ancient building complex at Mount Taishan. The temple was first built during the Qin Dynasty (221 BC - 209 BC). Since the time of the Han Dynasty (206 BC – 220 AD), its design has been a replica of the imperial palace, which makes it one out of three extant structures in China with the features of an imperial palace (the other two are the Forbidden City and the Confucius Temple in Qufu). The temple has five major halls and many small buildings. The centerpiece is the Palace of Heavenly Blessings (Tian Kuang), built in 1008, during the reign of the last Northern Song Emperor Huizong. The hall houses the mural painting "The God of Mount Tai Making a Journey", dated to the year 1009. The mural extends around the eastern, western and northern walls of the hall and is 3.3 metres high and 62 metres long. The theme of the painting is an inspection tour by the god. Next to the Palace of Heavenly Blessings stand the Yaocan Pavilion and the entrance archway as well as the Bronze Pavilion in the northeast corner. The Daimiao Temple is surrounded by the 2,100‑year‑old Han Dynasty cypresses.
