Visit Yellow Crane Tower
Regarded as one of the Four Great Towers of China, the Yellow Crane Tower stands on the banks of the Yangtze River. Its cultural significance led to its being made the symbol of Wuhan city. The current structure was built in 1981, but the tower has existed in various forms from as early as AD 223. The current Yellow Crane Tower is 51.4 m (169 ft) high and covers an area of 3,219 m2 (34,650 sq ft). It is situated on Snake Hill (蛇山), one kilometer away from the original site. The tower and its surroundings have been marked as Yellow Crane Tower park. The top of the tower has a broad view of its surroundings and the Yangtze River. It has the appearance of an ancient tower but is built of modern materials, including an elevator.

Visit Guiyuan Temple
Built in 1658, Guiyuan Temple is known as the first zen temple to be built in Hubei Province. The most famous and impressive building in the complex is the Arhats Hall, which contains 500 arhat (Buddhist saints) statues. In the Mahasattva Pavilion, the 2m-high Tang-dynasty tablet carved with an image of Guanyin holding a willow branch is impressive, and a jade Buddha resides in the Sutra Storing Pavilion. Hundreds of thousands of people visited the Guiyuan Temple to pray for fortune on the birthday of the God of Wealth, which is considered to be the fifth day of the Chinese lunar New Year.
