Introducing Minjiang River
Located in Fujian province, with the length of 577 kilometres, Minjiang River, or Min River, is the largest river in Fujian. It is also an important water transport channel. Most of northern and central Fujian is within its drainage area. The provincial capital, Fuzhou, sits on the lower Min River, with its historic center being on the northern side of the river, even closer to its fall into the East China Sea; the location historically made it an important port.

What to expect at Minjiang River
Fuzhou has introduced a route for a one-day tour to Minjiang River. A pleasure-boat departs from Taijiang tourism terminal and sails to Mawei and Hujiang Island.Tourists can enjoy the scenery of Minjiang River, including Taijiang Golden Bund, Strait Financial Street, Wanda Plaza, Cangshan Pan-ship pump Catholic Church, Strait International Conference & Exhibition Center, Mawei shipping cultural spots, Jingangtui (Kingkong Leg), Shuanggui Bamen (Double-Turtle Doorkeepers), and Hujiang Island. The boat stops at Mawei Port. Tourists can visit attractions such as Luoxing Tower Park, Ship Administration Culture Museum, Memorial Hall of Majiang River Naval Battle, and Mawei Shipyard.

How to get to Minjiang River

By Bus
• Take Bus No. 1, 2, 3, 10, 13, 14, 15, 25, 30, 31, 37, 39, 50, 51, 71, 83, 136, 149, 309, 312, 319, 320, 321, or K1 to Taijiang Buxingjie Station. Then walk to Taijiang Tourist Port.

By Metro
• Take Metro Line 1 and get off at Dadao Station. Then walk to the port.

Additional travel advice on Minjiang River
• Minjiang River Cruise Day Tour (including Hujiang Island) departs at 08:30 daily from Taijiang Tourist Port.
• Minjiang River Nigh Cruise (1 hour) is also available. It departs at 19:00, 19:45 and 20:30 daily.
• Visitors should arrive at the port 30 minutes in advance to board the ship.
