Hotel Pickup & Transfer to Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda (40 minutes)
Your private guide will be holding GoGrandChina pick-up sign and waiting for you in your hotel lobby (or other appointed meeting place) at the appointed time. You will be transferred to Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda (40 minutes).

Visit Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda
The Chengdu Panda Base is a non-profit research and breeding facility for giant pandas and other rare animals. Initially, it was home to 6 giant pandas rescued from the wild, but now houses over 100 pandas living in a carefree environment. The base features rivers, lakes, brooks, and wild bamboo forests that mimic the panda’s natural ecological habitat. Visitors can observe giant pandas of different ages as they rest, eat, drink, play with each other or with enrichment toys, and even watch female pandas nursing their cubs. The best time to see the pandas is during feeding time from 9:00-11:00 when they are most active. In addition to giant pandas, the base is also home to a variety of rare wild animals such as peacocks, white swans, and black-necked cranes.

Transfer from Panda Base to Leshan Giant Buddha (2 hours)

Visit Leshan Giant Buddha
The Leshan Giant Buddha is a 1,300-year-old, colossal statue carved into Mt. Lingyun, considered the largest stone Buddha in the world and the tallest pre-modern statue. It attracts millions of visitors annually, including Buddhist pilgrims, and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The statue sits at the junction of three rivers and faces Mount Emei. It depicts Maitreya Buddha, sitting calmly with heavy-lidded eyes gazing across the river. The statue is made of stone, except for the wooden ears, and has 1,021 spiraled curls embedded in its head.

Transfer Back to Your Hotel (2 hours & 30 minutes)
After visiting Leshan Giant Buddha, this private tour comes to the end. Your guide and driver will transfer you back to your hotel.
