Day 2 Xian, Terracotta Army, Emperor Qin's Mausoleum, Small Wild Goose Pagoda, Xian Museum, Great Mosque & Muslim Quarter
Morning visit to Terracotta Warriors. Considered one of the foremost archaeological discoveries of the 20th century, the 2,000-year-old Terracotta Army was discovered by accident in 1974 by local farmers digging a well. The 8,000-plus life-sized warriors are arranged in vaults to guard the Mausoleum of Qin Shihuang, the first emperor of China, a major architect of the Great Wall and unifier of China. Then you will visit the Mausoleum of Emperor Qin Shihuang which was constructed over 38 years, from 246 to 208 BC, and is situated underneath a 76-meter-tall tomb mound shaped like a truncated pyramid. In the afternoon, you will visit the 1300 year old Tang Dynasty constructed Small Wild Goose Pagoda, a perfect example of the multi-eaved square brick pagodas built in ancient China. Then you will visit Xian Museum which boasts nearly 130,000 relics that all relate to the history of Ancient China and Xian specifically. Your last stop will be the Great Mosque and Muslim Quarter. Being the starting point of the Silk Road, the ancient trade route linking China with the Middle East and Europe, Xian is deeply influenced by Islamic culture which is best observed in the Muslim Quarter. Xian Muslim Quarter covers several blocks with an estimated 60,000 Muslims in the region. There are about seven ancient mosques in the area, among which the Great Mosque is the most famous and popular among all. At Xian's Muslim Quarter you will find a seemingly endless labyrinth of street food, restaurants and bustling local life.

Day 3 Bullet Train to Luoyang, Longmen Grottoes, White Horse Temple
Upon arrival, visit the Longmen Grottoes, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This Buddhist cave complex contains over 2,300 caves and niches carved into steep limestone cliffs over a 1-kilometer stretch. The grottoes were created over approximately five centuries, starting in 493 CE, and provide insight into the political, cultural, and artistic circumstances of the late Northern Wei and Tang Dynasties. Afterward, visit the White Horse Temple, China’s first Buddhist temple. Many believers consider it to be “the cradle of Chinese Buddhism.” The White Horse Temple was established in 68 AD under the patronage of Emperor Ming during the Eastern Han dynasty.

The temple was founded in 495 AD by the Indian monk Batuo to accommodate him and his disciples. It quickly became a center of Buddhism in China and a major center of learning and culture. The Shaolin Temple is also famous for its association with Shaolin Kungfu, a martial art that originated at the temple. In 2010, the Shaolin Temple was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
