Introducing Xianyang Museum
Situated at Zhongshan Street in the Xianyang ancient city center, Xianyang Museum is one of the famous national medium-sized museums. It is a local history museum, featuring collections of the Han and Qin dynasty eras. Xianyang had been the capital of the Qin Empire. The museum was reconstructed based on a Confucian temple and opened to public in 1962. It occupies an area of 3855 square meters with ancient constructions. With magnificent buildings, it is a key museum to project cultural relics as well as one of the national AAA tourist attractions.

What to expect at Xianyang Museum
Xianyang Museum boasts a collection of over 12,000 cultural relics of the Qin (221-206BC), Han (206BC-220AD) and Tang (618-907) dynasties, 20 of which are of the national first class. The exhibition hall of Qin and Han historical cultural relics mainly displays the articles unearthed from the Xianyang Palace, the Wei City and excavations from mausoleums of Qin and Han dynasties. In 1981, a new exhibition hall was added to exhibit more than 3,000 pieces of horses and soldiers from the satellite tomb of Liu Bang's Changling Mausoleum, the first emperor of the Han Dynasty.

• From downtown Xianyang: Take bus No. 19, 56 to Bowuguan Station.
• From Xian: Take Metro Line 1 to Houweizhai Station, and then take bus No. 56 to Bowuguan Station.
