Introducing Ancient Cultural Street (from Tourist Information and Consulting Center of Tianjin)
Tianjin Ancient Culture Street located in north-east of Nankai District, Tianjin, China. From north to south, Ancient Cultural Street starts from Tongbei Road to Shuige Street; from west to east, Ancient Cultural Street starts from East Road to Chang Zizhong Road. The total planned construction area covers 200000 square meters. It's a multi-functional tourist and commercial area that has the following sections: folk culture, tourism and commerce, shopping and leisure, food and accommodation, fitness and entertainment. In 2005, it was awarded as "Chinese Characteristic Business Street". In May 2007, it was classified as a national AAAAA scenic area; The Ancient Cultural Street receives more than 10 million visitors per year. The scenic area is in antique style, the main street still preserves the architectural appearance of 600 years ago. The overall construction has the folk architectural style of Ming and Qing Dynasties. In this bloc, streets arrange naturally, has a special charm.
