Located in the southwest of South Mountain, 40 kilometers west of Sanya, Taoist Fairyland Park has a history of over 800 years and covers an area of 22.5 square kilometers. Taoist Fairyland Park is a well-known Taoist culture tourist scenic area. Due to the wonderful seascape, landscape and rock sceneries, Taoist Fairyland Park is ranked the first scenic spots in Qiongya.

What to expect at Taoist Fairyland Park

In Mandarin this area is called Daxiao Dongtian, or "Big and Small Dongtian". A dongtian is a fairyland. In Taoist culture, there are 10 big dongtians, 36 small dongtians, and 72 blessed fairylands. This is Sanya's most ancient attraction, and is dedicated to the fact that Sanya is the birthplace of Taoism. There are six different areas that are fun to relax in and take photos, with beautiful rolling hills and hidden grottoes. One area is Sanya's natural history museum, where you can see dinosaur fossils.

There are some carved poem in cliffs which are still remained in Taoist Fairyland Park, include Xiaodongtian, Diaotai, Haishan Qiguan, Xianrenzu, Shijian Peak and so on. Mountain, sea and forest are the most essential requirement for a tourist scenic spot. While in Taoist Fairyland Park, these are combined very well, forming an ancient scroll magnificent drawing.
