Introducing Mingshi Scenic Area
Nanning Mingshi Scenic Area is an A level scenic spot, located in Mingshi Village, Daxin County. Covering an area of 20 square kilometers, Mingshi Scenic Area is surrounded by mountains and rivers, the scenery there is quite beautiful, thus is also called small Guilin. The scenery in Nanning Mingshi Scenic Area is really attractive: Bamboos around the shore, farmhouses here and there, wood bridges on the river, swaying rice, swimming children, representing a southern idyllic scene.

What to expect at Mingshi Scenic Area

There are many beautiful attractions in the scenic area, and the most well-known scenery is Mingshi River. The idyllic scenery of Mingshi River is ranging from Mingshi to Bolang. The river within the scenic is about 8 km long, tourists can take a bamboo raft and enjoy the stunning views along the river. In the Nanning Mingshi Scenic Area, you will see the typical karst landscape, the clear and bright river with bamboos' shadow in it, the ancient Zhuang village, the magnificent General Hill, unique Wanru Scarp and the natural frescoes on the wall.

Rice fields are all over the scenic area, whatever you see is green. Various peaks stands among the green, winding streams flowing by the peaks in tranquility, countless fish freely swim across water plants which is fluttering in the breeze, several ducks swimming by, the water rippled for a while and the serene shadow of peaks has been broken. In the sunset, the river has been dyed into red by the setting sun and is glittering with golden light. It's quite hard not to love this place.

How to get to Mingshi Scenic Area
• Mingshi Scenic Area is approximately 200 km away from Nanning.
• Take a bus from Nanning Xixiangtang Bus Station to Daxin County. Then take the tourist bus line Daxin-Mingshi-Detian to Mingshi Scenic Area.
• Take the tourist bus line Nanning-Mingshi-Detian to Mingshi Scenic Area. There are two options available: 1-day itinerary and 2-day itinerary.
• Rent a car/bus from GGC to enjoy a hassle free private transfer from hotels in Nanning to Mingshi Scenic Area.
