Day 1 Arrival in Lanzhou, Lanzhou Airport or Train Station Pick-up
You will be greeted by a private driver at Lanzhou airport or railway stations and transferred to your hotel. After getting settled at the hotel, you may explore the downtown area on your own or relax during the remainder of the day. Lanzhou is the capital and largest city of Gansu Province in Northwest China. Situated on the upper reaches of the Yellow River, Lanzhou has been a major stop on the ancient Silk Road.

Day 2 Lanzhou, Liujiaxia Reservoir, Cruise on Yellow River, Bingling Temple Grottoes, Drive to Xiahe
After breakfast at hotel, you will be transferred to Liujiaxia Reservoir for a 90 minute drive. Liujiaxia Reservoir is formed by the Liujiaxia Dam on the Yellow River. The primary purpose of the Liujiaxia dam is generating electricity; in addition, it is used for flood control and irrigation. When it became fully operational in 1974, it became China's largest hydroelectric power plant, and remained so until the 1980s. Cruise on the Yellow River for about 40 minutes, you will arrive at Bingling Temple Grottoes. Bingling means thousand Buddhas or 10,000 Buddhas in Tibetan language. the Bingling Temple is a series of grottoes filled with Buddhist sculpture carved into natural caves and caverns in a canyon along the Yellow River. Drive to Xiahe (3 hours) in the afternoon. Xiahe is the largest Tibetan monastery town outside Lhasa and exists due to the Labrang Monastery which is one of the six main Tibetan monasteries of the Gelupka sect.

Day 3 Xiahe, Labrang Monastery, Ganjia Prairie, Tibetan Family Visit
Morning visit to Labrang Monastery. The Labrang Monastery is one of the six great monasteries of the Gelukpa (Yellow Hat) Sect and it is home to the largest number of monks outside of Tibet Autonomous Region. Founded in 1709, Labrang Monastery is one of the largest Buddhist monastic universities. The monastery contains 18 halls, six institutes of learning, a golden stupa, a sutra debate area, and houses nearly 60,000 sutras. In the afternoon you will visit Ganjia Prairie, a picturesque Tibetan grassland where sheep and yaks are dotted here and there under the blue sky and along breathtaking loess plateau landscape. The following Tibetan family visit will help you know more about Tibetan life style and local customs in depth.

Day 4 Drive to Hezuo, Milarepa Buddha Pavilion, Drive to Langmusi
Drive to Langmusi in the morning. On the way, visit the well-known nine-story Milarepa Buddha Pavilion. Milarepa was considered one of Tibet's most famous yogis and poets and a major figure in the history of the Kagyu school of Tibetan Buddhism. He led an inspiring life of spiritual progress and human accomplishment. His story exudes timeless themes of evildoing and redemption, perseverance in the face of many hardships, and dedication to the path. Continue driving to Langmusi (3 hours).

Day 5 Langmusi, Sertri Gompa, Kirti Gompa, Drive to Songpan
Sitting at 3325m, Langmusi lies in a beautiful valley surrounded by alpine forests and amazing mountains. There are two Tibetan monasteries here: Sertri Gompa located in Gansu province and Kirti Gompa in Sichuan province. Both monasteries are said to be held in high regard among Tibetans. With the first temples of the Kirti Monastery being built in 1713, while the Sertri Monastery dates back to 1748. Drive to Songpan in the afternoon (6 hours).

Day 6 Songpan, Huanglong Scenic Area, Drive to Jiuzhaigou
Morning visit to Huanglong Scenic Area. Huanglong is noted for its beautiful mountainous scenery with relatively undisturbed and highly diverse forest ecosystems, combined with the more spectacular localized karst formations, such as travertine pools, waterfalls and limestone shoals. Its travertine terraces and lakes are certainly unique in all of Asia and rate among the three most outstanding examples in the world. Huanglong was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1992. Drive to Jiuzhaigou in the afternoon

Day 7 Jiuzhaigou Valley Scenic Area
Whole day visit to Jiuzhaigou Valley. Jiuzhaigou Valley Scenic and Historic Interest Area is a reserve of exceptional natural beauty with spectacular jagged alpine mountains soaring above coniferous forest around a fairyland landscape of crystal clear, strange-colored blue, green and purplish pools, lakes, waterfalls, limestone terraces, caves and other beautiful features. These include a number of karst formations; indeed the area is a "natural museum" for alpine karst hydrology and research. Walk along plank walkways to admire the Multi-Colored Lake, Nuorilang Waterfalls, Long Lake and Pearl Shoal.
