Dalian Cruise Port Pick-up & Transfer to Lushun (Port Arthur)
Your private guide will be holding GoGrandChina pick-up sign and waiting for you at Dalian Cruise Port at the appointed time. You will be transferred to Lushun (Port Arthur) in a comfortable private vehicle. Lushun is located at the extreme southern tip of the Liaodong Peninsula, formerly known as Port Arthur. It has an excellent natural harbor, the possession and control of which became a casus belli of the Russo-Japanese War (1904–05). Japanese and then Russian administration was established in 1895 and continued until 1905 when control was ceded to Japan. In Western diplomatic, news, and historical writings, it was known as Port Arthur, and during the period when the Japanese controlled and administered the Liaodong (formerly Liaotung) Peninsula it was called Ryojun. After the Japanese defeat in World War II, the city was under the administration of the Soviet Union, which rented the port from China, until 1950. Although the Russians presented the port to China in 1950, Soviet troops remained in the city until 1955.

Visit Japan-Russia Prison Site of Lushun (Port Arthur)
Lushun Japan-Russia Prison Site Museum was established on the site of Lushun prison. Lushun prison was established by Tsarist invaders and later expanded by the Japanese aggressors, covers a ground area of 226,000 square meters. It was then the largest penitentiary in Northeast China with 253 cells and each cell has an area of 15 square meters. It is now used as a memorial place for exhibition of crimes of imperialist aggression. It is also one of the major national historical relics.

Visit Baiyun Hill
Baiyu Hill is 130-meter-high (427-foot-high) hill standing in the center of Lushun. Using forced Chinese labor, the Japanese raised a tower on the crest of the hill to commemorate Japanese soldiers who died in the war. The tower has a height of 66.8 meters (219 feet) has become the evidence of their historical crime. Baiyu Hill Park consists of the Naval Weapon Museum, Bird Garden and Rock Museum.

Lunch at Your Own Expense

Visit Lushun Train Station
Constructed by the Russians, Lushun Railroad Station was the end of South Manchuria railroad line when Tsarist Russia invaded Lushun. The terminal building features a wood structure in Gothic architectural style with white color and green tiles. It is the best European-style terminal building reserved along the Northeast railroad line. This train station was rebuilt by the Japanese in 1905, but it retains Russian-style architecture.

Visit Russo-Japanese War Sites
Situated at the north suburban part of Lushun, Crest Mountains are important battle sites of the Russo-Japanese War. There are fortresses, batteries and remains of warfare all over the East Crest Mountain and the West Crest Mountain. As one of the five permanent fortresses along a semi-circle of 20-kilometers-long defence line, the North Fortress on the East Crest Mountain was built by the Tsarist Russians in defence of Lushun.
