Introducing National Aquatics Center
Located in the south of central area of Beijing Olympic Park, the Beijing National Aquatics Center, also colloquially known as "Water Cube", is the main swimming pool for the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing and one of the landmarks of Beijing 2008 Olympic Games.

What to expect at National Aquatics Center

Its designing scheme is produced by The "water cube" ((H2O) 3) solution from a global design competition. National Aquatics Center (Water Cube) with the National Stadium (known as the "Bird's Nest") respectively lies in the northern end of the central axis of Beijing city and images a relatively complete historical and cultural city of Beijing from the left and right sides of the common.

National Aquatics Center (Water Cube) hosted the swimming, diving and synchronized swimming events in the 2008 Summer Olympics. The structure had a capacity of 17,000 during the games that is being reduced to 7,000. It also has a total land surface of 65,000 square meters and will cover a total of 32,000 square metres. Although called the Water Cube, the aquatic center is really a rectangular box 178 metres square and 31 metres high. The building's popularity has spawned many copycat structures throughout China.

Now the center is a complex consists of a themed indoor Water Park, a Waterdrop Theater, a Spar Center as well as restaurants and bars. Visitors can enjoy a great leisure time in this amazing water world.

How to get to National Aquatics Center

By Metro
• Take Metro Line 8 and get off at Aoti Zhongxin (Olympic Sports Center) Station (Exit B1).
• Take Metro Line 8 or 15 and get off at Olympic Park Station.

By Bus
• Take bus No. 81, 82, 510, 607 or Sightseeing Bus 3 and get off at Beichen Xiqiao Bei Station.
• Take bus No. 386, 407, 611, 656, 658, 660, 689, 740, 753, 939, 944 or 983 and get off at Beichenqiao Xi Station.

Additional travel advice on National Aquatics Center
• If visitors would like to swim at the Warm-up Pool, the ticke is ¥60/person. Time limitation is 2 hours for each swimmer, including bathing and dressing time. Please schedule the time well.
• It is suggested to take light bag along as there is a security check at the Center.
