Chen Clan Ancestral Hall
Built in 1894, Chen Clan Ancestral Hall is a place for your historical travel where you can see unique ancient Chinese architecture arts. Since 1959, the Chen Family Temple has been established as Folk Art Museum to exhibit folk arts of Guangdong province. Being the biggest, best-preserved and most gorgeously decorated traditional building in Guangdong Province, Chen Clan Ancestral Hall is a symmetrical complex comprising 19 single buildings which are connected with verandas and interspaced by courtyards. The entire building is decorated with arts including skillful wood carving, brick carving, stone carving, lime sculpture, pottery sculpture, iron and copper casting, and color painting.

Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall
Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall, situated on the southern slope of Yuexiu Hill, was constructed between 1929 and 1931, a monument to Dr Sun Yat-sen, the forerunner of Chinese democratic revolution. The hall, a grand octagon building of typical Chinese architectural style, looks brand new because of reconstruction in 1998. This masterpiece of architecture is created with a span of 71 meters (about 78 yards) without a pillar but significant outlooks and delicate interior designs. In the hall there is also a display gallery showing pictures and letters of Sun Yat-sen. The oldest ceiba in Guangzhou City grows in the hall, like a centuries-old man, witnessing great changes of this city; besides, you can also have a chance to see the two biggest white jade orchid trees of Guangzhou. A bronze statue of Sun Yat-sen was set up in 1956 in front of the memorial hall.

Yuexiu Park
Yuexiu Park is the largest park in downtown Guangzhou. Covering an area of 860,000 square meters (212.5 acres), it is made up of three artificial lakes and seven hills of Yuexiu Mountain; hence the name. It is a perfect combination of cultural relics and ecological tourism, reputed for its pretty water and hills as well as cultural relics. The main places of interest include the stone sculpture of the Five Rams, Zhenhai Tower, the site of the Ming Dynasty City Wall, and Square Cannon Site.

Five Ram Sculpture
The Five-Ram Sculpture is the emblem of Guangzhou City. It was erected in 1959 at the top of Yuexiu Hill inside Yuexiu Park. This landmark sculpture is one of the most popular and visited tourist sites in Guangzhou. The legend behind the sculpture is something about five celestial beings riding through the air on rams to bring rice to the first settlers of the area. One day they rode rams through the air to Guangzhou, each carrying a stem of rice. They presented the people with the rice stems as a sign from heaven that the area would be free from famine forever. Apparently the city than took the name City of Rams, or Goat City.

Canton Tower
As the landmark of Guangzhou, the Canton Tower (Guangzhou Tower) is the highest TV tower in China and the third highest in the world. It offers a great birds-eye view of the whole city. Inside the tower are wonderful entertainment items, romantic restaurants with delicious food and several fine lookout platforms for shooting photos, some of them holding many top world records. The tower is also noted for its unique design. Mark Hemel, the designer, was inspired by the bones of the female hip joint, and then he created a slim waist in the middle of the tower just as a fair lady twists her waist while looking behind. At the thinnest part, the diameter is about 32 yards (30 meters). The tower has become a new city landmark and one of the Eight New Sights of Guangzhou. No matter visitors have a Pearl River cruise or just wander along its bank, they can see the majestic tower. Especially at night, the tower seems like a resplendent dress, ablaze with colorful lights.

Pearl River Cruise
The Pearl River is 2,124 kilometers long, as the largest river in South China and the third largest in China. It is the 'Mother River' of Guangzhou. The Pearl River consists of five rivers, including Xijiang (the West River), Beijiang(the North River), Dongjiang (the East River), Liuxihe (the Liuxi River) and Xunjiang (the Xun River). The main stream Xijiang (the West River) originates from a Caster water cave at Mahongshan, Qujing city, Yunnan province. It runs across Yunnan, Guizhou, Guangxi, and Guangdong provinces. A charming one-hour cruise on it may be a most romantic way to enjoy the appealing city views. On the water you get a refreshingly different and open panorama of the city; the picturesque and diversified waterfronts and river views are a feast for the senses during the day, at sunset, or at night. It's perfect to catch your breath away from the crowds on land.
